I have organized a small archive of web links about a variety of health alerts you might want to be aware of. Some of these alerts concern practices or products that are embroiled in controversy, debate and lawsuits, such as the use of the mercury-based preservative thimersol (ThimerosalT) in infant vaccinations and the safety of mercury amalgam dental fillings. Some involve food products as common as soy. Others involve common packaging products like plastic water bottles and food containers. My selection of links is based on a holistic approach to wellness-taking the safest perspective possible to the issues involved. My belief is that if there is any possibility of risk, why take it?

I make no claim to provide conclusive evidence on any of these topics. I think both researchers and the general public know that studies funded by interest groups can produce results quite different from those funded by public advocacy organizations. I assume that knowledge has organizing power, and my intention is to provide some references that take you quickly to the heart of the debate, so that you may do further research yourself and come to your own conclusions regarding the best way to protect your own health and that of others in your family and community.
