Immerse yourself in the nature and in the splendid Gran Canaria sea for a week of total well-being. Yoga, Mindfulness, surfing, hiking and lots of relaxation.

Activities:
Hatha Vinyasa Yoga
We will explore breathing techniques and asanas in order to generate physical and mental strength, all accompanied by a final deep relaxation. Each lesson will be structured based on the needs of the individual participants.
Yin Yoga
The asanas are maintained for longer generally between 2 and 5 minutes, but always on the ground and in total safety.
By holding the positions we allow access to the connective tissue increasing our flexibility. This connection between body and mind allows us to open ourselves to a path of greater freedom of choice and awareness of the present moment.
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is an ideal practice for reducing stress, anxiety and insomnia.
Traditionally it has been said that an hour of Yoga Nidra equals to four hours of ordinary sleep. Yoga Nidra practices on this retreat will take place outdoors, in silence, under the starry sky.
Mindfulness eating
We will use some of the breakfasts proposed to explore the awareness of food, its origin and its meaning, deepening psychological and evocative aspect of eating.
Our breakfast will also be organic and vegetarian.
Mindfulness in nature
We will practice mindfulness in open spaces: along a path, by the sea, in the sand dunes for a deeper connection with the natural environment through increased sensory awareness.
Surf lessons
It will be possible to book group and individual private lessons with qualified surf instructors with whose teaching aligns with the content of the retreat. It will be possible to open up to this experience both physically and in terms of our awareness of the elements of nature and our awareness of ourselves.
Excursions and guided tours
We will explore the local attractions with guided tours and nature walks, the city of Agaete, the lighthouse, the gothic cathedral, the marvelous dunes of Mas Palomas, the home of Christopher Columbus. We will also be able to snorkel in the beautiful Playa de Tufia and visit the old town of Vagueta.

Excursions may vary depending on weather conditions. Massages, the vegan cooking class and the surf lessons can be booked for an additional fee.

Teacher:
Riccardo De Paolis: Yoga and MBSR Mindfulness teacher
Riccardo gained considerable experience internationally, having qualified as a Purna Yoga instructor at the Byron Yoga Center in Australia, obtaining the Certificate IV 800hr.

Riccardo is a registered Yoga teacher at the Yoga Alliance E-RYT500 – YACEP.
Riccardo lives and works in Italy, but also teaches internationally and has led community classes, workshops and meditations in Australia, Switzerland and the UK.
He currently works with people from beginners up to experienced high level practitioners. He teaches at several yoga studios and fitness centres in Rome as well as working with companies and individuals; periodically organising international retreats and workshops.
Riccardo is a qualified MBSR Mindfulness teacher with a II level Master in ‘Mindfulness: practice, clinical and neuroscience’ at the Faculty of Psychology of the La Sapienza University of Rome. The title is recognized and respects the high international standards of the ‘University of San Diego Center for Mindfulness’.
The words that summarize his work are Professionalism, Respect for Diversity and Compassion.

Accommodation:
We provide 7 nights accommodation at Mahalo Healthy House, a spacious house located just few minutes from the golden beach of Alcailavaneras in the center of Las Palmas.
The house is managed by Alessia Martuscielli, a vegan and vegetarian chef, a writer, photographer and surfer. In the morning we will be welcomed by the flavors and aromas of vegan / organic breakfasts prepared directly with her hands.

Directions:
The house is about 26km from the Gran Canary airport and it can be reached by the bus 60 which leaves directly from the parking lot.
Once you arrive at the Sant’Elmo main station stop, the house is only a 5-minutes walk away, on Calle Domingo j Narro 10.
Costs:
7 nights at MahaloHealthyHouse, 8 organic breakfasts, 2 daily Yoga and Mindfulness classes (19 hours total practice), mats and props included, 4 guided tours, 1 closing dinner:
- Eur 800.00 per person.
- A reservation requires a deposit of 50€.
The deposit is not refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
