Experience a full week of Yoga, Mindfulness, and relaxation in the beautiful setup of Santa Teresa di Gallura in the North of Sardinia. Clear-crystal waters sparkling in thousand hues of turquoise, made magical by the contrast with the golden shades of the rocks and the green of the thick Mediterranean bush, featuring strawberry plants, myrtle and heather.
Activities:
Hatha Vinyasa Yoga
We will explore breathing techniques and asanas in order to generate physical and mental strength, all accompanied by a final deep relaxation. Each lesson will be structured based on the needs of the individual participants. The Hatha Vinyasa class is focused on flow movements maintaining correct alignment and a right attitude that creates space and opportunities through deep observation of each asana.
Yin Yoga
The asanas are maintained for longer generally between 2 and 5 minutes, but always on the ground and in total safety.
By holding the positions we allow access to the connective tissue increasing our flexibility. This connection between body and mind allows us to open ourselves to a path of greater freedom of choice and awareness of the present moment.
Yoga Nidra
Yoga Nidra is an ideal practice for reducing stress, anxiety and insomnia.
It a widespread belief that an hour of Yoga Nidra equals to four hours of ordinary sleep. Yoga Nidra practices on this retreat will take place outdoors, in silence, under the starry sky.
Vishoka Meditation
Vishoka Meditation is a complete system of meditation to reclaim your inner joy and train your mind to remain clear, focused, and joyful in all circumstances in life.
Vishoka Meditation offers a precise set of meditative techniques designed to unite mind and breath and turn them inward, allowing us to nourish and rejuvenate ourselves on every level of our being.
The ancient yogis called this state Vishoka and insisted that we all can reach it. The key is a precise set of meditative techniques designed to unite the mind and breath and turn them inward.
Grounded in the authentic wisdom of a living tradition, the simple—yet profound—practice of Vishoka Meditation is the perfect complement to your existing yoga practice, as well as a powerful stand alone meditation practice.
Join Certified Vishoka Meditation®Teacher, Riccardo De Paolis, as he skillfully guides you through this tradition-based practice that is accessible to all and so relevant for our modern times.
Mindfulness in nature
We will practice mindfulness in open spaces: along a path, by the sea, for a deeper connection with the natural environment through increased sensory awareness. Mindfulness is a way to develop awareness of the present moment, moment by moment, in a non-judgmental, non-reactive and ‘open heart’ way.
Excursions and guided tours
We will explore the local attractions with guided tours and nature walks, kayak, horse riding and local food tasting tours.
La Valle della Luna
We will explore the ‘Valle della Luna’, a small and uncontaminated valley where peace and nature reign supreme and characterized by majestic granite boulders that erosion shaped in unusual ways. The valley owes its name to a group of hippies and naturists, that at the end of the 1960s called it Valle della Luna (Moon Valley) for the marvelous white nuance the rocks take on under the moonlight. Among the rocky walls you will see hidden bays with crystalline and emerald waters, particularly appreciated by scuba divers, that contrast with the golden nuance of the rocks and the deep green of the thick Mediterranean bush.
Le tombe dei Giganti
The Tombs of Giants date back to the third millennium BC. They have been called in this way because, according to a legend, huge bones were found inside them. Some experts believe that they were votive altars, others talk of burial places, others think they are monuments erected in order to indicate places featuring dark forms of energy
The structure of the Tombs of Giants is very particular: the plant resembles the snout of a bull, the interior is single-chamber and the external facade is made up of stones driven vertically into the ground and arranged in a semicircle, recalling the shape of the bull’s horns. The bull was a very important animal for the natives, called Nuragics, as it symbolized the male divinity: it was therefore a symbol of strength and power. The shape of the structure, however, also recalls the female organ: death was therefore probably considered as a conjunction between the Mother Goddess and the God Taurus, union in the rebirth of the afterlife of the generative principles of masculine and feminine.
However the Nuragics have left no written evidence and the real symbolism of their tombs remains in part and, perhaps will remain forever, a fascinating mystery.
According to some theories, the Tombs of Giants would arise in correspondence with “energy channels”: in particular the Mizzani Tomb near Palau has become a pilgrimage destination for those who wish to benefit from the strong natural magnetism that surrounds it.
Capo Testa and Municca island
Municca island and the small islet Munichedda are almost in front of Santa Teresa di Gallura beach, the Rena Bianca. An isthmus divides the area in two parts, on the left the Rena di Ponente also known as the beach of Taltana, and on the right, Rena di Levante, also known as the beach “of zia Colomba” by the locals or “dei graniti”, due to the remains of the Roman quarries. The peculiar position of the two beaches allows to swim in any wind condition. This area distinguishes for the white-gray granite, shaped by the wind in anthropomorphic and zoomorphic forms, the thick Mediterranean vegetation also consisting of endemic flora species typical of the area and the crystal-clear waters.
Extra activities
